What a dream Harper was at her session earlier this week! She arrived a few weeks early & spent some time in the NICU after her birth, so she is quite a bit older than the typical newborns I photograph. To be honest I wasn’t really sure what types of images she would let me get. Older babies (yes, 5 weeks is considered older in the world of newborn portraits) aren’t usually as “curly” and they’re certainly not used to being moved & posed while they’re trying to nap. After fighting sleep for a few minutes she drifted off and slept the entire 2 hours I posed & photographed her. She even gave me some smiles, which I always adore.

WOW!! What a fantastic job you did — I am so impressed! Of course, Harper is a gorgeous little subject, which is a completely objective perspective, in spite of the fact that I’m one of the grandmothers! The pics brought tears to my eyes — truly, they did!!
The stool shot is priceless, but the little smile is a favorite too. Okay, can you tell by my wordy comment that I’m an English prof?? Sorry!!
