Carter has grown so much since his newborn session…I barely recognized him when he came in for his six-month portraits earlier this week. He wasn’t sure about having portraits taken, but thanks to a fun game of peek-a-boo with his mommy we captured some great expressions.

Yesterday I met the beautiful Amaya and her parents at the studio for her first photo session. Amaya is so stunning I could have stared at her all day, but I didn’t because I knew her mom & dad were excited to get some photos of her! At five weeks Amaya has passed the age we typically photograph new babies, and sure enough she wasn’t very interested in sleeping or posing. Since five weeks is still a bit young to expect consistent eye-contact & smiles, most baby photographers know it’s it’s all about patience & waiting for just the right moment to click the shutter to get a sweet expression and those pretty eyes. Patience certainly paid off yesterday, because we got some lovely images of this gorgeous baby girl.
